We see corporate social responsibility as an integral component of our business. We absolutely love paying it forward and contributing to the community, as we feel that it is part of our duty as a company in South Africa.

We pride ourselves in giving back to our community, without expecting anything in return. We do this by various small actions, such as employing as much of our local community as possible, as well as donating fruits, vegetables and items, such as wooden pallets, that we don't have any use for anymore to other companies and individuals in our community.

Our biggest CSR initiative is a soup-kitchen that we helped to develop. We took hands with Nobambo Kilani, a community leader of the informal settlement, Kuyga, next to our warehouse and helped her in her efforts to start a community soup-kitchen. 

​

Once a week, Nobambo pops around to Morning Crisp and we load her boot full of fresh veggies which she cooks up and uses to prepare big pots of soups. The soup-kitchen feeds over a hundred very hungry less fortunate community members of Kuyga each week.
